Jon Roger Band is an emerging force in Brazilian alternative rock, blending explosive energy, memorable melodies, and a distinct Brazilian edge. The band has already surpassed half a million total streams on Spotify, and the press has taken notice. Rocket FM called them “a pleasant surprise that impressed everyone”; Rock Metal declared that “the scream of rock has been reborn”; and Roadie praised them as “a great oasis in the Brazilian rock scene.” In the United Kingdom, Radio Wigwam added Jon Roger Band to its A-List, while Australia’s Heavy Magazine said the band revives “the true essence of rock,” especially for listeners nostalgic for rock’s core spirit.
Jon Roger Band was formed in Vitória, ES (Brazil) by Lucas Poltronieri, Carone Netto, and Ricardo “Cachalote”. Later, Léo Luz and Pedro Martinusso joined the group, helping consolidate the lineup and further define the band’s musical identity. The band takes its name from David “Jon” Gilmour and George “Roger” Waters of Pink Floyd. Driven to inspire the way they were inspired, Jon Roger Band channels that energy into a modern, vibrant, and authentic sound. Singing in English, they expand their international reach while delivering a raw, honest rock experience fueled by passion.
